Privacy
Rule of Life keeps only what it needs to work. Nothing is sold, shared, or used to track you.
In the apps
You sign in with Apple or Google. From that sign-in we keep your name and email address, and from Google, the address of your profile picture.
Your Rules and check-ins are kept on your phone and on our server at api.getruleoflife.com, so they reach every device you sign in on. All of it is tied to your account and used only to make the app work.
There are no ads and no third-party analytics. We watch the server's health so we know when something is wrong, and that's all the watching does.
Deleting your account
In the app, on your phone or at getruleoflife.com/app, open your profile (the three dots in the corner) and choose Delete account. Your account and everything in it is deleted from our server and from every device you're signed in on.
Or write to [email protected] with the email address on your account, and we'll delete it for you. Either way, it's gone from our backups within thirty days.
On this site
This site is a few pages of plain text. We count visits to its pages with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites. It tells us which pages are read and which sites sent people here, and nothing about who you are. Signing in to write your Rule of Life here sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in and does nothing else.
If you leave your address to be told when the apps are ready, it's kept on our server for that one message and nothing else. With it we keep the link or site that brought you here, and nothing else about you. It isn't an account, and it isn't shared with anyone. Write to [email protected] at any time and it's deleted, and gone from our backups within thirty days.
Signing in here sends the link or site that brought you too, and we keep it only if that sign-in makes your account. It's how we learn which places bring people, and it's never sold or shared.
